Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (PESA)

PESA technique involves retrieving sperms from the epididymis using an aspiration needle. The sperm sample will be used later for ICSI technique. The main con of PESA is that it is done blindly, that is, the specialist aspirates an area without being 100% sure on what is being aspirated, or if the aspiration site contains spermatozoa.
